This year Fort Worth winter seems like it's never going to end! In honor of the winter season, here are some winter tips for your residential bathroom plumbing.
In the winter, try to spread out showers throughout the day. It is good to wait at least 10 minutes between showers. You can also turn up the hot water heater slightly to retain hot water. In an effort to avoid scalding water, do not exceed 125°F.
If your shower pressure is weak, pour a cup of vinegar into a plastic bag and place it over the shower head to soak. Any twist tie will hold the plastic bag in place overnight. In the morning, remove the bag and use your old toothbrush to scrub off the mineral deposits. This will help restore water flow.
